The cocaine was the same that he picked up from Peper, said Massie, adding that he was found guilty of escape and possession of a dangerous drug and received a $50 fine and suspended sentence of 12 months in jail.
He told the jury that in December 1985 he took Ronald Nicholson, a boyhood friend from Rappahannock, to pick up cocaine from Peper in Lynchburg, where the dentist was visiting his family for the holidays. They met on the street, went to a bar, and there in the bathroom, he received about two ounces of cocaine from Peper, Massie said. <l
After Peper graduated from dental school and moved to Warrenton (where he practiced dentistry with Dr. William H.
