Mr. Menefee was a member of vMt. Lebanon Baptist Church at Bos‘.Tton.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. !.Eunice Deal Menefee, a son Ray v Glenn Menefee of Culpeper, two [brothers, Laney Menefee of Culpeper and Isaac Menefee of Woodville, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Peyton and Miss Ella Mae Menefee, both of Culpeper. A funeral service was conducted Dec. 30 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Interment was at Hill».crest Memory Gardens, Jefferson^.ton.
Pallbearers were Louis Cubv bage, Cecil Jewel, Everett Lee „ Turner, J.C. Creel, Henry B. Wood and John Durham.
Charles Compton Charles William Compton, 81, of Amissville, died Dec. 24 at the Culpeper Health Care Center. (),. A native of Rappahannock nr County, he was the son of Samuel -and Martha Bowen Compton. Mr. Compton was a farmer and a rural mail carrier. He was a member of Amissville Volunteer Fire Company, the Amissville Ruritan Club -and Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78. He was a former chairman of the Republican Committee of Rappahannock County. > He is survived by his wife Mrs. Elva Alice Rosenberger Compton, a sister Mrs. Edith Wharton of Ar. Jington, and a niece Mrs. Peggy ,T'Duggin. tVi His funeral was conducted Dec. k.28 at the graveside in Hillcrest ^Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton by the Rev. Steve Parker. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Amissville Volunteer Fire Company. ■r.r
