Heads-Up Club
helps the needy
By APRIL KNOLL
Rappahannock News Contributing Writer
The Heads-Up 4-H Club, in the spirit of the holiday season, provided a merry Christmas for four needy families in the area last week. Members of the club gave turkeys and other holiday food, wrapped Christmas presents and clothing to three Rappahannock families and a fourth household in the Jeffersonton area.
The Christmas project was organized by club leaders Nancy Weik and Brenda Knoll. >
Members of the club, including Autumn Dickman, Henry Curtis, Tom and Lili Weik and April Knoll, delivered the food and presents to the families last Tuesday and Wednesday.
The members of the club asked that special thanks go to the Rappahannock County Elementary School PTA, which donated five bags of toys, and to Sylvia Kreitler, director of the county’s Department of Social Services.
