Douglas Smith

Douglas Lee Smith, 31, of Culpeper, died Dec. 23 at the Fauquier* Hospital. He was a wrecker operator for Opal Trucking.

Survivors include his wife Susan Settle Smith of Culpeper, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Smith of Culpeper, and his grandmothers, Nellie Marsh and Mary Jane Brookman, of Culpeper.

A graveside service was conducted Dec. 26 at Fairview Cemetery by the Rev. Gordon George.

Charles Myers

Charles Edward Myers, 85, of Culpeper, died Dec. 24 at the Countryside Nursing Home.

He was a retired furniture refinisher and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church.

A native of Culpeper County, he was the son of Myrton and Darling Williamson Myers.

Survivors include his wife Evie Mae Mozingo Myers of Culpeper, three sisters, Sue Sidway of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Lillian Nichol of Richmond and Mrs. Albert Seigner of Culpeper, and two brothers, Howard Myers of Rixeyville and Raymond Myers of Culpeper.

A funeral service was conducted Dec. 28 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Farrar. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper County Rescue Squad.
