Art and craft bazaar

Salem Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will sponsor its first art and craft bazaar on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the fire hall in Griffinsburg, Rt. 522. The organization is seeking crafters. Anyone interested should contact Dorothy Beck at 547-3957. Deadline for reservation is May 1.

Lions benefit auction

The Rappahannock Lions Club auction is planned for Saturday, May 6, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Washington fire hall. Proceeds will be applied toward Rappahannock County Lions Club projects, including sight and hearing screening, seventh grade field trip, youth athletics, Bland contest, diabetes, senior citizens, mental health, scholarship!s), drug awareness and others. Donations of new, renewed and/or usable items are needed. Cash donations are accepted, however food and clothing are not acceptable. All donations are tax deductible. Aerobic and flexercise classes

A 6-week series of aerobic dance classes will begin Tuesday, April 25 at 6 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fee is $25 or $35 for unlimited attendance to aerobic dance and flexercise.

Flexercise classes will be held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. beginning April 26 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Fee is $20 or $35 for unlimited attendance. For more information call Rose Ann Sharp, 675-3887 after 6 p.m.

Massage classes to begin

Two six-week workshops on massage are now forming. Taught by

Barbara Caillagh, who has 12 years experience in massage therapy, the classes will give participants experience in a medium which allows each individual to explore their deepest physical, spiritual and emotional

selves. The women’s massage group will meet on Tuesdays, from May 16 to June 20. A partners’ massage group will meet each Thursday from May 18 until June 22. For more information, or to register, call Ms. Caillagh (636-2042).
