Not all agencies met with the board’s approval, however. The supervisors voted to deny the request from Rappahannock Legal Services for $417. WVPT public television was not granted the $584 it sought, and the representative from Northwestern Virginia Health Systems Agency left the meeting without the $377 appropriation the agency had hoped for.
The board decided to table a request from the FORE sheltered workshop in Remington. The supervisors will discuss its $6,000 request at another work session scheduled for May 11.
Also postponed was the Rappahannock County Library Board’s request for $20,451, up from $17,444 this year. Dr. William Young told the supervisors he would have to modify his request because some supplies had been left out of the budget. The supervisors said they prefered to wait for the new numbers before acting on the library request.
