VR325-02-01.

In General §3. Recorded wild aminal or wild bird calls or sounds prohibited in taking game; coyotes and crows excepted.

Amend- this section by deleting references to “wild" animal and “wild" bird calls or sounds, and changing the sunset provision relating to the taking of coyotes by means of electronic calls from June 30, 1990, to June 30,1991. §6. Hunting with dogs or possession of weapons in certain locations during closed season.

Amend subsection A of this section to include National Forest lands east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Also, add to this section a new subsection D to read as follows:

“D. It shall be unlawful to hunt, or attempt to hunt, by the aid of a dog in a strike cage, or a dog on or outside any portion of a vehicle forward of the driver, except during the open season for the hunting of bear with dogs." §21. Use of deadfalls prohibited; restricted use of snares.

Amend this section to provide that all snares must be of a nonlocking type; increase the allowable diameter of Bnare loops from 8 inches to 12 inches and increase the maximum height of the top of the snare loop from 10 inches to 12 inches; and require the written permission of the landowner before snares may be used.

Grouse. §1. Open season.

Amend this section by changing the closing date of the general statewide grouse hunting season from January 31 to the second Saturday in February.
