he Board of Supervisors made i s rst decisions on which commumty service agencies to support and which requests to deny after presentations by agency representatives at e board s first budget work session last I hursday evening.
They voted “yes" to a request from the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center for $2,000 for the new conference center that is nearing completion. Thev also voted to contribute $5,364 to Lord Fairfax Community College, up from $835
o ,vear Of the appropriation, $4,803 is for site preparation for a new library and parking lot.
The supervisors also voted to approve a request for $19,164 for the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center. This is up from $17,744 this year, an eight percent increase. Also approved was $3,517 for the Rappahannock-Rapidan Emergency Services Council, up from $<3,350 this year. The board also approved an appropriation for $2,457 to the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission. That figure was increased also, up
