To the editor:
I’m writing to question the present hours at the new Rappahannock County landfill. The barely visible JMBbed hours - M.W.F. from 7:30 ^jn. until 3:30 p.m. - are not convenient for most working citizens.
As a resident of Amissville, I find it very inconvenient to get the trash off my back porch and to the dump because of such hours and even more inconvenient to take tin cans to Huntly or Scrabble.
Prior to the gate being installed at the Amissville dump. I was able to dump my weekly refuse after work hours, in clothes suitable for such a task.
With the additional hours of sunlight in the approaching summer months, I think, Rappahannock taxpayers would be better served with new, more flexible, hours at the county landfill.
I leave you with two questions - who decided the present landfill hours and for whose convenience?
