on two routine throws to fifst and Stonewall tied it again.
Rappahannock scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Groves tallied the first when Daczewitz laced the ball up the middle. With men on second and third the Panthers struck out twice. Jenkins preserved the rally with a towering double and a 12-7 lead.
Mike Payne got the Panthers out of the fifth unscathed with a catch against the fence, but the Generals gave RCHS its first dose of strong defense when Abe Moomaw came in for relief and retired the first three batters. It was the first inning Rappahannock failed to score.
Philip Daczewitz, who had five strong innings on the mound for the Panthers, was replaced by Ellis with the bases loaded and no outs. Ellis gave up a hit and walked in a runner before Coach Leake went to the bullpen for his stalwart moundsman, Doug Smith. Smith got three strikouts to end the inning and the game was even at 12.
In the sixth RCHS loaded the bases with no outs but Moomaw struck out Butler, Atkins' and Groves to dodge the bullet.
In the seventh Smith got himself out of a hole again. With two outs and runners on first and third, he enticed the General batter to swing at air. But Moomaw retired the Panther side effortlessly, sending the
