Stonewall committed four more errors than the Panthers, but Rappahannock’s mistakes came at the most inopportune moments. “We’re just not making the big plays right now. It’s not an individual thing, everyone can do better and knows it. On the bright side of things, each player says to himself, ‘If I do one more thing right, we can wan more ball games.’ Right now we aren’t making good throws after we field the ball, but all aspects of the game can improve — and will,” Coach Leake promised.
The Panthers are at home Thursday, April 20, against the George Mason Mustangs. They follow that with a trip to Mt. Jackson Friday to complete the game halted Monday, after which they will play a regularly scheduled game against the Generals under the lights at Stonewall Jackson High School.
