Rappahannock County High School celebrated its Homecoming the weekend of Oct. 27-28.
The festivities began at dark on Oct. 27, with the SCA sponsoring a spirit bonfire. The school’s cheerleaders led the assembled fans in cheers and kept the spirit flowing.
This spirit flowed into Saturday. As the crowd intently watched the perfect maneuvering of the Rappahannock players, many R.C.H.S. organizations eagerly sold items to gain money for future plans.
The cheerleaders picked up where they left off the night before. The R.C.H.S. Pep Band presented a variety of music all could enjoy. The Rappahannock Panthers w7ere victorious, beating the Wakefield Owls 32.
The National Honor Society organized halftime activities. At this time, the Homecoming Queen was announced. The soccer field was lined with a parade of cars. Each car was carrying a representative of the Homecoming Court. A selected soccer player escorted each representative.
Marsha Freeman was the eighthgrade representative. She was escorted by Michael Brown. Jason Fox escorted the ninth-grade representative, Jennifer Leake. Tasha Roy
