Mrs. Johanna Patzig of
Sperry ville, who has been a most able and active volunteer in organizing work with the Rappahannock Library, was honored with a reception Sunday at the library. More than 150 patrons and friends of the library and of Mrs. Patzig attended the afternoon tea. Miss Bernadine Wilson, newly appointed librarian, was also a guest of honor at the reception.

Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance,
principal of Rappahannock County Elementary School, has announced that the annual membership drive for the PTA of the school is now under way. These memberships provide the only source of money needed to finance PTA projects and certain extra-curricular activities. Memberships are $1 per family and anyone interested in supporting the school and its activities may join.
A panel discussion on the local school system, its funding, its programs, and other school-related subjects will be discussed on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Mrs. James F. Massie, a member of the local school board, and I.R. Kilby, the board’s chairman, will be present to discuss the kindergarten
