Front Royal, the lines go through his sister Ann Fox’s property. The Wayland’s were some of the strongest supporters against the power company and many people up the line fought hard as well.
It needs to be known to all landowners on the Sperryville to Front Royal line to beware and to fight back.
Potomac Edison says it can do anything it wants based on the 1928 . right of way. We have proven in ; court that the right of way is determined by the space — both horizontal and vertical — that the power lines have occupied since 1928.
Would William T. Wayland give permission to tear through and cut up his alfalfa fields when he himself feels badly driving over them to spray? He says no way they are coming through here.
He is concerned of the high, voltage and damage to his farm. He got . shocked on his tractor once mowing under the 1983 line. He is also con- ; icemed about the long and short • term health hazards and the electro- • magnetic field.

We would like to quote Mr. Nich- ■ ols’s court testimony for the Potomac Edison Power Company in 1983. When we asked him of his plans to go from Sperryville to Front Royal he said that the utility has “no plans — none that I’m aware of. . . to upgrade the Front Royal to Sperryville line.” He added that if the company intended to improve that : stretch within the next ten years, he would know of the plans. Here it is, only six years later.
•The present plan appears to be even more deceitful. Potomac Edison has never said the first word to W.T. Wayland up to today (Nov. 14). Their new strategy appears to be to destroy the property all along • the Front Royal line — not quite to the degree that they destroyed it in 1983, being that was proved against them in court. In this way they hope any damages will not have to be compensated for.
By this potential destruction of property rights, Potomac Edison is attempting to violate the constitution by taking away our property rights. Those on the Sperryville and Front Royal line had better fight or lay down and take it.
