floor of the hospital. The auxiliary members thought it would be most appropriate for the Lights of Love funds to be designated for this project, since a chapel is a place for meditation and privacy; therefore, it is a fine way to remember loved ones.
The focus of Lights of Love is a 40-foot-tall white pine, originally donated and planted on hospital grounds by a local Girl Scout troop. The tree is illuminated with hundreds of lights with special significance every year throughout December.
Donations of $5 or more name a red light in honor or a white light in memory of a friend or loved one. A gift of $50 places a light in the star of the tree. Acknowledgement cards are sent.
