The Rappahannock School Board approved its own legislative agenda for the upcoming session of the General Assembly at its regular meeting on Nov. 14.
Two items concerned monies that were left out of the Department of Education’s budget as it has been prepared for this year, which were included in previous years and which have benefited Rappahannock County — funds for school systems with declining enrollments and funds for vocational centers such as Piedmont Technical Education Center.
School Superintendent David Gangel told the board members that these two items were also left out of the last budget as it was submitted to the Assembly, but were restored by the legislators.
