School Board Chairwoman Beverly Massie said that all the counties involved with Piedmont Technical Education Center are concerned that the elimination of funds for vocational centers will transfer the burden to their budgets.
“As for the Grayson report, we have been through that. We know what it is to be consolidated,” she said. She noted that the Rappahannock school system was consolidated with Warren County’s until 1975. “We know the strides we have made in Rappahannock County since w-e have been on our own,” she added.
The board voted to accept Dr. Gangel’s recommended legislative agenda.
