A fourth recommendation concerns school system consolidation. Dr. Gangel told the board that the Grayson Commission has been studying the issue, and that, so far, its recommendations only concern cities and would have no effect on Rappahannock County. However, he urged the board to “let our legislators know that we think our small size is our strength. ”
