James Alsberry Sr.
James Willis Alsberry Sr., 77, of Sperryville, formerly of Flint Hill, died Nov. 13, in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
The funeral was Nov. 18, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill, with the Rev. James P. Price officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Sperryville.
Mr. Alsberry was born March 9, 1912, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Jim and Rachel Alsberry. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a retired truck driver for the Avtex plant in Front Royal. He was married to the late Susie Anna Peyton Alsberry.
Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Rachel Aylor of Sperryville, Mary Gladys Brown of Hume and Nannie V. Williams of Alexandria; one son, James W. Alsberry Jr. of Flint Hill; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Henry B. Jordan
Henry B. Jordan, 74, of Flint Hill, died Nov. 14, in the Elder Care Gardens Nursing Home in Charlottesville.
The funeral was Nov. 19, at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal, with the Rev. John Pendleton officiating.
Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Flint Hill.
