The Rev. Jennings Hobson
has received praise for a job well done from George L. Jones, state coordinator from the office of emergency and energy services. In a letter to the Rappahannock supervisors dated' Oct. 25, Jones complimented Rev. Hobson for his work a& qounty emergency services coordinator during the August flood.
Timothy J. Kilby, Instructor of Photography at Lord Fairfax Community College, Middletown, will exhibit his photographs at the college through Dec. 5. Kilby, a native of Rappahannock County, specializes in landscape photography and has an especially fine collection of photographs taken in the local area.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bachi of
Woodville discovered an appropriate note in their backyard on Nov. 15, the day of the Great American Smokeout. A postcard, tied to a balloon that had burst and fallen onto their lawn, read: “I don’t like smoking because it kills you and gives you cancer. It’s very dangerous to your health.” The note was signed by Sue Allen, Grade 4,
