Sen. Robb’s aide to visit
U.S. Senator Charles S. Robb's regional represen tati ve,’C.R. Suddith Jr., will visit Rappahannock County on Thursday, Jan. 25. Mr. Suddith will be in the courtroom at the county courthouse in Washington from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents with questions, comments or concerns about matters before the U.S. Congress are urged to come and speak with Mr. Suddith. No appointment is necessary.
Student music contest
The Rappahannock Lions Club announces its annual Bland Music Contest, scheduled for Sunday, March 4 at the Gay St. Theater. The contest is designed to recognize and encourage musically talented students, and offers scholarships to the top musicians as judged at the contest. Students interested in competing in the contest should speak with their music teachers or any Lions Club member. The public is invited to attend the concert.

Sheriff John Henry Woodward announced that the Rappahannock County Sheriff's Department 1990 calendars have arrived, and are available at the Sheriff's Office in Washington or at the stores throughout the county which sponsor the calendar each year.
