As the hour grew late, Planning Commission Chairman William Wickens announced there would be no attempt to hear all those who wished to speak, and said the planners had decided to recess the hearing until the commission’s next meeting, Monday, Feb. 26.
Mr. Wickens also announced that the town has authorized the printing of 100 copies of its Comprehensive Plan, which will be available next week at the county zoning office and at the office of Town Attorney Frank Reynolds.
“Everyone should read it,” Mr. Wickens said of the Comprehensive Plan. “Is it a charter for our future, or should we scrap it, or amend it? That is the correct way to proceed . . . I personally like these goals,” he added, but said it can be revised, “if that is the wish of the town.”
