Marine Lance Cpl. Vincent S. Aylor, son of Joyce R. Aylor of Sperry-ville, was recently commended whileserving with the 1st Marine Divisionbased at Camp Pendleton, California.

Cpl. Aylor was recognized for his outstanding performance of duty, professionalism and overall dedication to the service.

A 1983 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, he joined the Marine Corps in April 1987.
