Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella Nelles of Culpeper; four sons, Jae Michael Nelles of Alexandria, John Stewart Nelles of Malibu Beach, Calif., Richard D. Graham of Culpeper, Gary G. Graham of Covington, Ga.; one daughter, Dianne L. Holmes of Woodbridge; a daughter-in-law, Judie Graham of Culpeper; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was Jan. 22 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Parker officiating. Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery, with full military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amissville Fire Department or Hospice of the Rapidan.
Josephine Wood
Josephine Wayland Wood, 75, of Reva died Jan. 20 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include one brother, Ashby Wayland of Washington; one step-son, Larry A. Wood of Mt. Aiiy, Md.; one niece, Mrs. Shirley Weaver Penaranda; and three nephews, John S. Weaver Jr., Jimmy Wayland and Tommie Wayland.
She was the widow of the late Leo Ainsworth Wood.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Grace Wayland Weaver.
A funeral service was Jan. 23 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
