He served as assistant manager at Southern States’s Herndon Service before promotion to assistant manager at the Winchester Cooperative. He was named manager of the Martinsburg, West Virginia Cooperative in 1976.
He remained at that post until November, 1981 when he was named operations supervisor in old Region 2 (Baltimore, Md.). He became Petroleum and Tire, Battery and Accessory supervisor for Region 3 (Baltimore, Md.) before serving as manager of the Baltimore feed mill in May, 1983.
In August, 1986, Mr. Grigsby was named manager of Seed and Chemical Merchandising in Richmond, Va.
Mr. Grigsby remained at that post until January, 1987 when he was promoted to manager of branch operations in the Seed, Petroleum and Supply Division.
