ARB decides not
to halt renovations
on Inn's building

The Washington Architectural Review Board decided Sunday to allow construction to proceed on the renovation of the house on Gay Street that Patrick O’Connell and Reinhart Lynch bought from the “Byrd” Jones estate.
The new owners had received a “certificate of appropriateness” for “extensive renovations” to the house from the ARB in March.
At that time they said they wanted to change the windows and doors, remove the chimney and build an addition.
As work on the house proceeded during the summer and early fall, more and more of the original building was removed. By early fall nothing was left but the foundation and some of the framework. Now it is mostly enclosed again.
