Both times we have gotten a negative response and I am appalled by this. After all, the citizens of Rappahannock support your newspaper, too, or you would not be in business. This year we called the newspaper three weeks in advance and asked you to cover the event. The response was call me back later.
Monday before Halloween we onc^ again called and the response was I’m not making any promises. We never have any problems if we ask our local orchards, farmers, or local businesses to help out with refreshments, candy or decorations. They’re always more than grateful to help out on this event. Not to mention the ladies in our community that bake cookies, cupcakes, brownies, etc. Nevertheless the newspaper didn’t show up and support us.
I’m going to do some serious thinking when I go into a local business and get ready to pick up the Rappahannock News and say do I want to support this paper.
