Joshua was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Strasburg and was a second-grade student at Springfield Elementary School at Rileyville.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, David Eugene Yowell III of Washington and Derek Ray Runyon of Rileyville and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Deavert Housden of Stanley.
A funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Rev. Edward Schraff. Burial w’as in Leakes Chapel Cemetery near Stanley.
Marjorie Ruskin
Mrs. Marjorie Snead Ruskin, 82, of Washington, died Friday, Nov. 8 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1909 to the late Annie Keyser and Dr. John Peyton Snead Jr.
Mrs. Ruskin was a nurse for public health in both Orange and Dinwiddie and attended the University of Virginia Nursing School.
She is survived by a brother, Rayner V. Snead Sr. of Washington; four nephews, Rayner V. Snead Jr. of Lynchburg, Samuel D. Snead of Washington, William Snead of Denver, Col. and John Peyton Snead of Rixeyville; three nieces, Mrs. Dana Adamson of Front Royal, Mrs. Mary E. Hewitt of Afton, Va. and Mrs. Betty Snead Lindsay of Tampa, Fla.
