'Backdraft' features all-star cast
The Sunday night RAAC movie at The Theatre at Washington, Va. will be "Backdraft," which has an all-star cast including Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Robert DeNiro and Donald Sutherland.
Directed by Ron Howard, the film heats up With the exposure of a deep-seated rivalry between two firefighting brothers. 'Joyce' tickets available
"Joyce," an evening of songs, monologues, anecdotes and reminiscences of legendary British commedienne Joyce Grenfell, will be performed by the Interact Theater Co. at The Theatre at Washington, Va., 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.
Tickets are $5 for children, $8 for seniors and $10 general admission.
Grenfell is probably best remembered as the lovelorn police sergeant in the series of British comic movies about St. Trinian's School for Girls.
But she was also a singer and composer of witty, lighthearted lyrics and monologues, and |spect of her career covered fn fhe stage production of "Joyce."
"Joyce" stars D.C. actress Catherine Flye, who directed "Pirates of Penzance" at The Theatre earlier this year.

'The Nutcracker' In 'Warrenton
Moving Arts Inc. in Warrenton will present Ballet Theatre Pennsylvania's production of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker," 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Fauquier High auditorium.
