Valley Chamber Players perform

The Valley Chamber Players, a quartet of highly skilled musicians playing piano, bassoon, flute and percussion, will perform at 3 pm. Sunday, March 29 at the Blue Ridge Arts Council Gallery, 305 E. Main St., Front Royal.

Africa's rift explored in talk

Chris Johns of Woodville, author of "Valley of Life: Africa's Great Rift," will give a lecture at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 21 in the Rappahannock Library.

Mr. Johns is a National Geographic photographer, and the book is drawn from photos he took in Africa.

The lecture and book-signing is sponsored by the library and Cabin Fever Books in Washington, Va.

County chorus needs singers

Some may remember the Rappahannock Chorus from many years ago—there is a plan to re-form it.

Meeting of Rainforest group

The March meeting of the Rainforest Action Group will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in the Rappahannock Library. The meeting will focus on plans for Earth Day in April that include a community-wide trash pick-up, as well as publicity for several pending events (one is titled "How Do You Spell Skin Cancerf DuPont."). Actresses needed for audition

Women ages 30-40 are being sought for a performance in late May. A localnational playwright seeks process-oriented actresses for two rehearsals per week. Auditions will be held 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 in The Theatre at Washington, Va. For more information call Chris at 675-1214.
