Sheriff Woodward said Walters had been using the name Andrew P. Spencley in Roanoke. The city police there arrested him Monday night in connection with a school break-in down there, said Sheriff Woodward.
He is expected to return to Rappahannock to face sentencing as well as the other charges in April or May.
In other police and court news this week:
• A Co-op tanker truck overturned on U.S. 211, two-tenths of a mile east of Route 622 last week, snarling traffic just as the public schools were letting out, 2:05 p.m. March 12. ,
Robert Gordon Warner, 57, of Culpeper, was operating a 1989 GMC truck eastbound when he went off the right side of the road, lost control and overturned, according to Sgt. D.S. Adams of the State Police.
The truck skidded on its side and . ran over a mailbox. Warner was charged by Trooper S.M. Knick with reckless driving.
No one was injured. Damage to the truck was estimated at $5,000.
• A burglary was reported at the Route 626 house of Joe and Lynn Homing March 14, according to Sheriff Woodward. Because the Homings have not been able to examine the house, it is not known if anything was taken. The break-in was not discovered by the Homings. * Entry was made by forcing open a door frame that held a master-bedroom door, said Sheriff Woodward.
