COUNTY TAGS NOW ON SALE County taxes must be paid and Registration Cards must be stamped by the Commissioner of Revenue. County tags must be displayed by May 1, 1992. When transferring a sticker from one vehicle to another you must return the old sticker ami receipt to the Treasurer’s Office before a duplicate will be issued.

BOARP OF EQUALIZATION Public notice is hereby given that the Board of Equalization for Rappahannock County will meet on the days (and times) listed below for the purpose of equalizing real estate assessments, and for the purpose of hearing complaints'of inequalities, including errors in acreage. ALL MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT THE COURTHOUSE Upon hearing such complaints, either oral or written, the board will give consideration to same, AND EITHER INCREASE DECREASE OR AFFIRM SUCH ASSESSMENTS. Before a change can be granted, the taxpayer must overcome a dear presumption in favor of the assessment. The burden is upon the taxpayer to prove that this property is not uniform with other similar properties or prove that the property is assessed in excess of its -fair market value'.
