Piedmont District representative Frances Thornton asked if the budget could include additional help for the elementary school secretary. Dr. Gangel said he could consider using funds from the “margin for hiring” if they are not needed for new teachers. He asked to be allowed flexibility for that.
Stonewall-Hawthom District representative John Tole agreed with Mrs. Thornton. “That need seems pretty great to me,” he said.
