Henry Cook. She was a volunteer worker for the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department. She was the wife of the late Elmer Samuel Williams Sr.
Surviving are two sons, Elmer Samuel Williams Jr. and Larry W. Williams, both of Front Royal; two daughters, Mary Jean Campbell and Petsy Taylor, both of Front Royal; a sister, Virginia Sears of Hagerstown, Md.; a half-sister, Elizabeth Ritenour of Front Royal; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Albert Cameron, Richard Humey, Lawrence Williams, Tommy Williams, Jeff Williams and Buck Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were Harry Figgins, Bradley Williams, James Williams Sr. and James Williams Jr.
Sadie Jones
Sadie Virginia Jones, 76, of Browntown, died Monday, March 16 at the Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, March 18 at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. John Prater. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Wade and Edrena Clatterbuck. She was a member of the Browntown Baptist Church and the Browntown Friendship Club and a former member of the Front Royal Church of the Brethren. She was the wife of the late Frank Gideon Jones.
Surviving are a daughter, Arlene Chappell of Front Royal; two sons, Andrew Jones of Winchester and Wilbert Jones of Browntown; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Jones, Bobby Jones, Steve Jones, Roy Boyles, Lin Almony and Lee Bly.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Jones, Orville Baker, Win Smedley and Charlie Campbell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Browntown Baptist Church, Route 1, Box 133, Bentonville, Va. 22610.
