It stands opposite the rose window, located above the front door at the entrance of the building.
Made by Shenandoah Stained Glass in Front Royal, the window portrays the emblem of the church— the crossed keys to heaven given to Peter by Jesus before his crucifixion overtop an upside down cross, signifying that which Peter was crucified upon.
In the sanctuary, the altar of repost and creedence table have been built and donated to the church by Eric Hermansen. The $450,000 building, constructed by Kenbridge Construction Company, was many years in the making and as the dedication dawns, many aspects remain to be completed.
“It is twice as expensive as we had planned,” said Father Verbeke, adding the congregation has made a "tremendous sacrifice.”
“We are all very excited,” he said.
Father Verbeke will move to his new residence after the Sunday dedication.
