WARRENTON - Fauquier Hospital’s blood bank recently was granted renewal oflts accreditation by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), a professional organization which sets standards for the operation of blood banks and transfusion services. The accreditation followed an extensive on-site inspection in June by specially trained AABB representatives which established that the level of medical, technical and administrative performance within the facility met or exceeded AABB standards. Fauquier Hospital is one of more than 2,000 similar facilities across the United States and abroad that have earned accreditation. AABB accreditation must be renewed every two years.
