Bible School at Black Oak Black Oak Regular Baptist Church, located on Route 729, will be having Vacation Bible School July 12-16 each day 8:45 a.m. until 12 noon. There will be Bible study, music and singing, crafts and refreshments.
Donna Dodson is director and teachers are Tammy Tharp, Gladys Williams, Barbara Tharp, Marie Atkins and Betty Smith. Krista Pritt will be in charge of music with Sandy Goodall in charge of crafts. Hazel Delph will take care of refreshments. Rosie Wharton, Dee Williams, Bridgett Corsars, Peggy Tharp and Judy Dodson complete the staff as aides. Anniversary Celebration The Faith Singers of Rappahannock will be celebrating their fifth anniversary at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville. Their guest will be Voices of Inspiration, Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill, Gospel Decendents, Genesis, The Golden Tones of Shiloh Baptist Church in Millwood and the Women’s Ensemble from Rising Zion Baptist Church in Winston. Devations will be led by David Clanagan and Free Spirit. “All are invited to enjoy this song service to the Lord,” said an organizer.
