HOME ECONOMICS 2 small onions 1/2 pound potatoes 1/2 pound carrots salt and pepper beaten egg 1/2 cup tomato ketchup Peel and chop vegetables into very small, thin pieces. Mix meat with ketchup. Roll pastry and cut into circles (approx. 4 inches or 5 inches across). Put layer of chopped vegetables, then layer of ground meat followed by second layer of chopped vegetables onto half of each circle, seasoning with salt and pepper. Brush edges of pastry with beaten egg and fold over to form half circle, pinching edges well. Prick top with fork of knife (about 4 times) and brush top with beaten egg. Put on greased baking sheet and place in 425 oven, after 10 minutes turn oven down to 350 and bake a further 30 minutes.
