Mrs. Wenday Weinberg, of Rappahannock County and Arlington, tiras the guest speaker at the Extension Homemaker’s International Dinner on Monday, June 7. She presented a very interesting lecture on “England, Changing Through the Years.”
Following some introductory remarks on geography and demographics, Mrs. Weinberg concentrated her lecture on country life and life in small villages. She noted that “the Town & Country Planning Act passed in 1947 helped preserve the English countryside” and prevented urban sprawl as we commonly call it in the United States.
