Seminar Planned

The Lord Fairfax Small Business Development Center (LFSBDC) will present a special seminar for military veterans on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The seminar entitled “Starting a Small Business” will provide an overview of the considerations in starting a new business including the sources of financing.

The seminar will be held from 7 to 9:15 p.m. at Lord Fairfax Community College, Middletown campus. The registration fee for the seminar is $10. For more information and to register for the seminar call 869-6649.

Transplant Group To Meet

The Transplant Support Group will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8 in the Conference Room at Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 South West Street, Culpeper.

Nancy Bloom, a kidney recipient, will share her experience from participating in the Transplant Olympics. In addition, consideration will be given to returning to an ongoing regular meeting. This group is for transplant recipients, potential recipients, and their families. All persons meeting the criterion above are invited to participate. Bailey Reunion Planned

The Bailey reunion will be held at 10:80 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Salem fire hall. All relatives and friends are invited and asked to bring a covered dish.

Auction Planned

An auction to benefit the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the fire hall. For more information call 937-5125.
