Lonng Anderson Sr.

Mr. Loring Morgan Anderson, Sr., 82, of Washington died Aug. 25 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

He was bom Sept. 13, 1911, in Gore, W.Va., son of the late Henson and Martha Marpel Anderson.

His wife was the late Ada Mae Smoot Anderson.

Survivors include three sons, Loring Anderson, Jr. of Culpeper, Donald Ashby Anderson of Alexandria and John Morgan Anderson of Fairfax; three daughters, Virginia Mae Anderson Herold and Grade Anderson Allman both of Baltimore, Md. and Alice Ann Anderson of Fairfax; two sisters, Martha Virginia Gillespie of Front Royal and Nellie Marie Bromley of Berryville; 12 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Aug. 28 at Washington Baptist Church with Rev. John Burke officiating.

Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were A.K. Davis, John Clark Jr., John Marshall Clark, Chuck Moore, Allie Huff, Jim Bankston, Clabert Smoot and Willie McFarland.

Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Butler

Robert Lewis Butler, 68, of Sperryville died Saturday, Aug. 27 at Orange County Nursing Home. ' He was bom Sept. 29, 1925, son of the late Gaylord and Anna Lewis Butler.

Mr. Butler retired after working many years for Bob Estes.

Survivors include his stepmother, Mildred F. Butler of Sperryville; one sister, Pauline Starks of Maryland; one aunt, Maybele Logans of Sperryville; three nieces; one step-nephew; a special friend, Ra-1 chel Aylor of Sperryville and many, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1 at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Forrest Freeman officiating.

Viewing will be from 12-1 p.m. at the church.

Interment will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
