their summer was a weekend at Cub Scout Camp near Winchester. Fishing, archery, crafts, B.B. gun shooting, campfire cookery and other fun activities made the time fly by. One lucky group of campers made a field trip to the Baltimore aquarium.
But not all the talk at the meetings is of the past couple months. Many of the conversations concern plans for building flashier, faster Pinewood Derby cars. And a few scouts are already considering how they’ll make a winning set of arrows for the November Turkey Shoot competition. Campouts, hikes, cookouts, games and projects of all sorts are eagerly anticipated.
