Resurfacing of most streets in the Town of Washington is tentatively scheduled to begin in late September.
Paving crews will resurface Route 211 Business from the east exit off the U.S. 211 bypass along Middle Street to Main Street and along Main Street to Porter Street. Main Street will also be resurfaced from Middle Street to Wheeler Street.
Also on the schedule for resurfacing are Porter Street, Mount Salem Avenue, the. Harris Hollow Road to the town limits, Piedmont Avenue to the end of the hardtop, Jett, Wheeler and Calvert streets.
