The events at The Shade will take place between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. each of the three days. The sale will provide an opportunity for bison ranchers to network with one another for potential breeding stock and for potential bison owners to get valuable information on selecting, breeding and caring for these animals as well as the opportunity to buy one or more,
“Bison meat is fast becoming a healthier selection for the nightly supper table because it’s lower in fat, calories and cholesterol and higher in protein than other meats,” Mr. Thrower said.
An enormous amount of work has gone into organizing this three-day event, and Mr. Thrower hopes people from Rappahannock will join others from all over for this sale and celebration of bison. Tickets are $7.
