The Library Board reelected its officers for another term: Roberta Anderson, president; E. Franklyn Warner, vice president; John Hartline, secretary, and Helen Platt, treasurer.
Librarian David Shaffer reported that the Friends of the Rappahannock Library had offered to donate a computer for use in the staff room. He said with the new computer the one in the reference room can be available for Internet searches and work .process ing by patrons. Information on library staff will be taken off that computer and will only be on the one in the staff room, he said.
Mr. Shaffer said the Friends had , also offered the library the newest edition of Books in Print on CD-ROM. ] He said the Friends had decided not to have a book sale before July 4. . ,
The library was able to open the Thursday after the storm, but was closed the following Friday because i of flooding in the county. It feopened i on Saturday. Mr. Shaffer said Betty Smith and Stella Clark put in extraor- | dinary efforts during the storm getting books to patrons who couldn’t come to the library and working even when the library was closed.
The board will approve a budget for next year at their February meeting.
