Some of the event — notably the assemblies — have been open to the public. Both the elementary and high schools are slated for a few more events before the end of the year.

Rosa Crocker, coordinator of the Program Enrichment Committee, points out that most of this would not be possible without the staunch financial support of people in the community.

“We are grateful for the extraordinary response to last winter’s fund-raising letter,” she says. “We are hopeful that parents and other supporters will respond generously again, knowing what a difference these programs make in enlarging the hearts and minds of Rappahannock children.”

Ms. Crocker’s fund-raising letter will be distributed in the next two weeks.
