Black History Program Set The Deaconness of the first Baptist Church will sponsor their first Black History Month«service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the church. The guest speaker will be Dr. Hortense Hihton, Dean of Student Affairs, Germanna Community College and a member of the Free Union Baptist Church, Culpepr. The guest singer will be “4 Everlasting Joy,” Culpeper, all are invited to attend this service and learn more about African American culture.
Practical Nursing Aptitude Testing : George Washington Carver - Piedmont Technical Education Center will begin testing on Feb. 7 for those who are interested in applying to the Practical Nursing Program that begins in September, 1996. This is an eighteen month course that prepares a graduate to take the National Council Licensure Examination for becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.). Call 825-0476 to register or for further information about the testing and/or the program. A $7 testing fee is required at the time of registration.,
