If we do not stand up and make ourselves heard, others will come, build or widen more roads with our tax dollars and devastate our beautiful county..
You won’t have to live in Sperryville to be affected by a bypass. A bypass would encourage largerscale development of the area and an increase in traffic all along our other roads and through the other villages.
We live in the greatest democracy in the world. Exercise your rights. Stand up and be heard at the meeting on February 12. It is easy to be too busy and nobody has enough time, but if outsiders start carving up our county for through traffic we will have only ourselves to blame.

First of all 1 want to state that I support your editorial on Storm Cleanup in the Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, edition.
There is little doubt that there is a serious lack of communication and supervision in our Maintenance Headquarters, VDOT. The following are examples of what 1 personally witnessed during the past two weeks.
