Friday. On the bus, another student saw it and examined it. At no time was anyone threatened or injured, said Capt. Brown, and the knife has now been recovered by the Sheriffs Office.
Another student on the bus, which is Bus #12, telephoned Mike Tupper at the high school to tell him about the knife when he got home from school. Also, Capt. Brown said that at least one other student informed the school bus driver about the knife.
Principal Jack Raines said that a disciplinary committee hearing will be held this week, and that one of the students is an 8th grader and the other one a 9th grader.
Capt. Brown said that juvenile petitions are being sought for the two boys.
