Disappointed
Reader
To the Editor:
I was very disappointed to read the editorial in last week’s paper. I’m sure there’s always room for improvement, and I have had my complaints with VDOT on occasion, but in this instance, instead of criticizing, I would like to commend them for their long hours of hard work as well as their fast response time.
Considering the fact that we had blizzard conditions, snow drifts throughout the county that were in excess of 10 feet, and this area was declared a state of emergency, I feel that someone was on the ball during these shifts that lasted from 12 to 24 hours each.
There are many people that 1 have spoken with that feel the same and are appreciative of a job well done. We could have been the other Washington which from the news coverage, seemed not to fare as well as our county did.
Thank You for your efforts.

Thanked
To the Editor:
There are not enough words to express the depth of thanks we felt at the "Love Offering” for our family in this great time of need. We want to thank every one incldtiing the many who gave hugs and sent cards and made wonderful food. We can’t thank you all enough for your support while Mom is so ill.
